Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Bidstack is out of the frying pan and into the fire

In today’s Bearcast I discuss depression amid trolling & smearing of me and amid BBC lies on Gaza, Regtech Open (RTOP), Supply@ME Capital (FRAUD), Sosandar (SOS), Online Blockchain (OBC), St James Place (SJP), Abingdon Healthcare (ABDX) and Bidstack (BIDS).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I am a lying Clown, no I am a lying slug, no I am Satan!

I start by noting that it is world Jihad day according to Hamas. But the BBC insists that Hamas are not terrorists. Whatever. I then discuss Upland Resources (UPL) and its cretinous shareholders, Regtech Open (RTOP) – surely the FCA must swoop as the shares plunge again – St James Place (STJ) and finally Canadian Overseas Petroleum (LIARS).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Back from bear country

I have just arrived in Wales with my battered diesel van. Bed beckons, as I am still cream-crackered following yesterday’s walk. The photos below are from two towns along the route, and show the likes of me and Lucian are greeted with the respect we deserve in that part of the world. I discuss Brian Basham’s 26-mile cheat, but still, he is amazing. We have now raised £29,000 with gift aid, and that should rise this week. Feel free to donate, HERE. I discuss the big macro lesson from the walk, referencing Kinovo (KINO); St James Place (STJ), and the troubles one has in a bear market; and Hargreaves Lansdown (HL). Now to bed.

The Dark Destroyer Matt Earl on why he is short St James Place

I view St James Place (STJ) as a long term short since it has always and continues to provide a truly appalling service to its customers. You can fleece punters to reward staff and shareholders for only so long but eventually you reap what you sow and for me that makes this company uninvestable. The Dark Destroyer offers up a more detailed financial analysis of why his Shadowfall fund is short. Enjoy

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: It's a vicious slur, Cheryl my thoughts have not turned elsewhere

I reply to a listener who blames yesterday’s lack of bearcast on my thoughts shifting away from Ms Cole to this young olive harvester - such a suggestion is almost defamatory. Then it is on to Dignity (DTY), St James Place (STJ) and – in some detail – the very naughty boys at Iconic (ICON), led by toxic Dave Sefton and why the two NEDS walked today.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: On Christmas Pudding day that Gary Newman is just far, far too kind

A hectic day of domestic goddessery is almost upon me so it is a short bearcast. In it I take the argument on Great Western Mining (GWMO) far further than Gary does in his article of today. Gary is damning but even that is too kind. Then it is on to Sy James Place (STJ) and the rest of the charlatans in the wealth management industry.

A reader corrects me on St James Place...but it is still a sell!

I stand corrected by a reader who clearly knows more about this industry than do I. The reader agrees with my conclusion that profits at St James Place (STJ) will come under pressure which makes the shares ones to avoid but picks me up on factual errors made yesterday in bearcast HERE. The reader writes:

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: More on that Big Dish "rollout" as St James customer scams exposed

In today’s bearcast I take forward yesterday’s work on the Big Dish (DISH) “rollout” with some comments on its operations in Bristol. I look at Mothdercare (MTC) and Addison Lee, two firms whose time has gone. I look at attacks on fund managers who underperformed Neil Woodford and ask if those attacks are fair and at new ways St James Place (SJP) is shown to be ripping off its customers and what that means for shareholders in this unethical enterprise.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Don't mention the football & trying to be a customer of St James Place

Okay I too mention how my beloved West Ham disgraced themselves last night. I was there. It was awful. A long drive home. This morning I tried doing business with St James Place (SJP). What a nightm are! is there an honest IFA who can help me with a simple problem? I then look at Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT), Big Sofa (BST), Eve Group (EVE), Xaar (XAR)  and what the shock news from Shore Capital (SGR) says about the state of the AIM Casino.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: St James Place is morally bankrupt, one hopes it goes bust and its staff never work again

The Sunday Times has a major expose on St James Place (SJP) based on testimony of an ex employee. It is truly shocking stuff although not shocking for me as St James pursued my late Uncle Chris very aggressively. What this firm does to screw clients and to reward staff who shaft those clients is repellent and shames capitalism. I hope the firm goes bust and its workers never work again. and it may happen…
